Saturday morning brought an action-packed FIA Formula 3 Sprint Race to Silverstone, and while it was a tough qualifying day yesterday for James, he returned to the track determined to fight forward.

Starting from P30 after track limit struggles in Friday’s session, James avoided early drama triggered by contact between Badoer and Tsolov and capitalised on a fast launch to settle into the pack. As the field tightened up under a virtual and then full safety car, the race soon restarted with the entire grid within DRS range—providing plenty of opportunity for overtakes across the next few laps.

James pushed hard to make progress, staying clear of trouble as the field reshuffled ahead. Key moves from drivers like Câmara and Ugochukwu meant the battle for the final points positions remained intense throughout. In the latter stages, as tyres wore and mistakes crept in up the field, James kept it clean and consistent, eventually climbing four places to finish the race in P26.

It was a composed and confident drive on a tricky weekend so far, showing strong race craft and maturity under pressure.

Now, focus turns to tomorrow’s Feature Race—an opportunity for James to build on today’s momentum and continue his progression through the field in front of the passionate home crowd.

Stay tuned for more from Silverstone.
