James will make his return to single-seater racing this weekend, competing in Eurocup-3 with Double R Racing at the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit.

The opportunity sees James back behind the wheel of a single-seater for the first time since September last year, when he completed his 2025 FIA Formula 3 campaign at Monza.

Eurocup-3 joins the support programme for the prestigious Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone, part of the European Le Mans Series. The event takes place from 11–13 September and brings together an international field of prototype and GT machinery for the headline four-hour endurance race at the Home of British Motorsport.

For James, however, the immediate focus will be getting back up to speed quickly. With only 60 minutes of free practice before heading straight into qualifying, there will be little time to settle into the car before the competitive action begins.

James said:

“I am obviously very excited about being in a single-seater race again. The last time was September last year!

“I would like to thank Double R and my loyal sponsor Clive Emson Auctioneers for giving me this fantastic opportunity.

“Yes, I’m a little rusty, but I’ll have to get on with it as it’s only 60 minutes of free practice and then straight into qualifying. I will give it my all, as I always do!”

The weekend provides James with an opportunity to return to competitive single-seater action on home soil and on Silverstone’s full Grand Prix layout.

With practice, qualifying and two Eurocup-3 races forming part of a major international motorsport weekend, James will be looking to make the most of the opportunity and enjoy being back where he belongs — behind the wheel of a single-seater.
