James will return to the grid for the final round of the 2025 FIA Formula 3 Championship, stepping in for Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) at Monza.
The opportunity comes off the back of an excellent performance in the Budapest Sprint Race, where James showed strong pace and racecraft to secure a hard-fought P4 finish.
With momentum on his side and growing confidence behind the wheel, he’s eager to make the most of this new challenge with VAR at one of the most iconic circuits on the calendar.
Brad Joyce – Team Principal, Van Amersfoort Racing:
“We’re pleased to welcome James to the team for the final round at Monza. With prior race experience in the category and the clear potential we’ve seen from him, we expect he will adapt quickly to our environment. This weekend is a valuable opportunity for him to build on his time in FIA Formula 3, while for us it’s a chance to support him in making the most of it. We’re looking forward to working with him and are confident that he will make a positive impression.”
James adds:
“It was a very last-minute call-up opportunity, so I would like to thank VAR for this fantastic opportunity. Also, a sincere thank you to all family and friends for their backing and support — especially Clive Emson Auctioneers. I’m really looking forward to Monza.”
With just a couple of days to go until lights out, all focus now turns to hitting the ground running in Italy. Stay tuned for updates throughout the weekend as James takes on the Temple of Speed with VAR.
