Qualifying at Silverstone delivered drama right to the final minutes — but it was a difficult session for James, who will start both the Sprint and Feature Races from P30 after struggling to get a clean lap on the board.

The 30-minute session saw two clear runs, with drivers leaving it late to push in the final five minutes. With the circuit evolving rapidly, lap times were constantly being deleted for track limits violations — and James, like many others, found consistency hard to come by on the fast, flowing layout.

Nikola Tsolov took pole position for the Feature Race with a 1:45.176, narrowly ahead of Ugo Ugochukwu and Rafael Câmara. Campos Racing also claimed reverse-grid pole for the Sprint Race, with Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak finishing 12th.

Despite the setback, James remained composed throughout the session and is now fully focused on making progress during the races. With overtaking opportunities at Silverstone and mixed conditions always a possibility, there’s still everything to play for across the rest of the weekend.
